to everyone here again, This time around we are going to deal with issues
concerning some basic Electrical or even Electronics works at Home, Office
,Church, School, Hospital in fact Everywhere including markets (Lolz)
Well
its quite unfortunate that in this our present century, Electricians now live
medical work for Doctors, Doctors then live sewing works for tailors, Tailors
then live medical works for Doctors. While all this are suppose to be vice
versa, Meaning that a Doctor, should also know the work of an Electrician and
an Electrician on the other hand should return the favor. Same thing applies
also to other professions.
But here and now on this BLOG and POST an going to be showing you guyz
how to At least fix A point of light at your own convenient.

But before I

BRIEF TALK: I was a very brilliant boy actually when I
was growing up. I started using touch bulbs to make a little battery electricity
at home, and everyone was so pleased about it. But before then when I was much
younger, I do use ropes from the bush to wire(connect) the bulbs and after
that, I then hung it on our kitchen and be expecting light, but all to NO
avail.
So After many years when I was
much younger on my teenage age, my father saw the potentials in me And sent me
to a technical school. Though I wasn’t happy because I wanted to be a
ZOOLOGIST, but I later fell in love with Electrical Engineering when I Read
that; LIGHT, WAS THE FIRST THING GOD CREATED IN THE BIBLE, AND GOD DIDN’T REST
UNTIL THE WHOLE UNIVERSE GOT LIGHT. Finally,
guess what, I am now an undergraduate under this same
ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING.
MORAL: Don’t joke with
Electricity, its very very important in everyday life.
NOW BACK TO BUSINESS….
BELOW ARE SOME STEP BY STEP GUIDE WITH PICTURES ON HOW TO FIX AT
LEAST A POINT OF LIGHT AT HOME….
MATERIALS NEEDED……
1)
Get wires
(cable) from any Electrical shop close to you.
* 1.5 mm of size for the lighting point (to connect on the lamp
holder below)
* Another 1.5 mm wire for the switch connection below
* A 2.5 mm wire, for the supply (The place you tap your light from)
2)
Get lamp
holder. Its also available in the Electrical shop.
3)
Get a bulb;
you can either buy a 60 watt or 100 watt bulb depending on the use. But I
recommend you go for a LED bulb while purchasing the one for your room, because
its has low power consumption and it doesn’t make heat.
4)
Get a
switch, also from the Electricians shop. This time around any type of switch,
is good to go…provided you like it.
5)
Then finally,
Get your tools like
* Plier
* Screw drivers(Flat and Star)
*Cutter
Then
get ready to work….
WORKING TIME…
1)
Pill the
Mouth and End of the wire, to remove a little coat from the place you will join
on your connection. Do this with the CUTTER.
2)
Tight the
wires ( Red and Black= + and -) to the lamp holder as shown below.
3)
Look for a
well comfortable zone to mount your switch. Technically we recommend you mount
this close to your door for easy access.

4)
Tight also
another wire ( Red and Black= + and -) to the switch terminals, RED for L and BLACK for COMMON.
5)
From your neighbors house where you want to
tap the light from, connect the 2.5MM wire there, same with others ( Red and Black= + and -)
6)
Now its time
for Link up…
Join the RED
of the bulb, to the RED of the Supply…
Join the
BLACK of the supply, to the BLACK of the
switch…
Now finally,
Join the BLACK of the bulb to the RED of the switch…..
In case a SOCKET is needed, just fix wire
on the socket then connect the RED direct to the SUPPLY RED and the BLACK,
direct to the SUPPLY BLACK.
Insert your bulb to the Lamp holder
Put on your
switch…….. wow (UP NEPAAA)
NOTE;
With this pattern, you can also go as far as connecting up to five(5) point of
lights.
At the end, your
work should look like this……
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS….
1) Always avoid close contact of your skin to the connected wires…(To
avoid Electric shook).
2) To check if there is a current, use a TESTER instead of your body…
) Always avoid distractions while working on any Electrical appliance,
because the job you are embarking on, is a matter of LIFE and DEATH….
3) Always ensure a tight connection, when tighten your wires to the
Nuts…
4) Always use the right tools for the right work….
